معلومات عن الفنان

كيانو تشارلز ريفز. ولد سنة 1964م في لبنان بالعاصمة بيروت، واسمه مؤلف من مقاطع ثلاث، Key - ah - nu, كل مقطع له معنى مفرد، وهي معاً تؤلف جملة معناها النسيم البارد على الجبال بلغة شعوب الهاواي. يلاحظ أن ملامح وجهه، تميل إلى روح شرق آسيا، وهذا يعود إلى أن أباه نصف صيني ونصف هاوايي واسمه (صاموئيل) بينما أمه بريطانية وأسمها (باتريشيا). كيانو لديه أختان أصغر منه وهما (كيم) و (كارينا) يحبهما حباً جماً.

يمكننا أن نقول أن كيانو من الممثلين التقليديين، أي الذي لا يخرجون عن الصورة النمطية التي صنعوها، والتي غالباً ما تكون قريبة من شخصياتهم الحقيقية، ولهذا نلاحظ كيانو دائماً في أدوار هادئة، يختار شخصيات متزنة ورزينة، ودائماً أدواره تميل إلى الخير والفضيلة، هكذا هو الممثل التقليدي، ولهذا نستطيع أن نقول أن كيانو ينوع كثيراً في الأفلام ولكنه لا ينوع في الشخصيات، فأفلامه مرة تكون خيال علمي ومرة آكشن ومرة رومانسية ولكننا نرى كيانو هو الشخصية نفسها، وهذا قد يعد عيباً في الممثل إن لم يحاول تطوير نفسه وتوسيع دائرة المهارة في الأداء.

لكن مما يحسب لكيانو أنه شخص متفان في عمله، فمما يُعرف عنه أنه يستعد كثيراً لأعماله ويحب أن يظهر بأفضل صورة ممكنة، وبمجرد موافقته على العمل يروى عنه أنه يتدرب جاهداً لحفظ النصوص وإتقان الشخصية المنوطة به على حد قدرته واستطاعته.
